“The History of Libya as Italian colony started in the 1910s and lasted until february 1947, when Italy officially lost all the colonies of the former Italian Empire.” (Source)
Nuff Said. We should not even have to type anymore. We were going to celebrate the Hell-icopter factory being built but then………………………..we saw who was behind it. And we quote,
“Italy’s AgustaWestland, a Finmeccanica company, Wednesday inaugurated Liatec’s (Libyan Italian Advanced Technology Company) a helicopter assembly and maintenance factory at Abou Aisha airport, in the Tarhuna region about 60 km southeast of Tripoli in Libya in a joint venture with Tripoli at a cost of almost US$24 million dollars.” (Source)
HELL-ICOPTER FACTORY (blood on the hands of Italians, you don’t invade a country and then start calling people Libyan Italians, thats bull feces…and then try to partner with them in friendship..again if someone kicked your ass and killed your best friend would you do business with them? HELLLL NOO!)
“The forced migration of more than 100,000 people ended in concentration camps in Suluq and Al-Agheila where tens of thousands died in squalid conditions. It is estimated (by Arab historians) that the number of Libyans who died – killed either through combat or mainly through starvation and disease – is at a minimum of 80,000 or even up to one third of the Cyrenaican population.” (Source)
“Italian farmers cultivated lands that had been lost to the desert for centuries.” (Source) FYI The italians stole the land and made crops of which were probably sold at high amounts to the indigenous people that were killed, raped, murdered, ravaged and swindled of their land. Just imagine south afrika today.
Many people who lost their land during apartheid-era (in South Africa) ‘black sports clearances’ are still waiting to recover stolen property. This situation is likely to explode in the future….land markets have been fluctuating to the benefit of white farmers; Adam Smith’s invisible hand of the market has helped white farmers secure their land holdings by frustrating the South African government’s efforts to recover land and resettle landless blacks.“
OMAR MUKHTAR – THOUGH LIBYA IS FREE THEY STILL HAVE TIES TO THE OPPRESSOR “LEON OF THE DESERT” – WHAT WILL LIBYANS DO THAT STILL SHARE YOUR SENTIMENT?
To those reading this post, is there merit in the saying “If you want to monitor someone’s activities, don’t fight them join them” ?
One would think so given the fact that Italy murdered many Libyans over the course of almost a half of a decade. Your thoughts?
